Hi! My name is Shalini Sasha Quattlebaum and I've been modeling, acting and doing pageants since I was five years old. I am currently titled Miss South Bay USA. I am Indian, African American, and German. I am very hard working, dedicated, and a leader in my community. Community service is something I am extremely passionate about. I have completed over 1000 hours of community service dedicating my time to helping others. The community service I have done is made gift baskets for the homeless, bought Christmas gifts for orphans, volunteered at hospitals, volunteered at animal shelters, raised $10,000 to donate to Cancer patients through the organization Relay For Life, and much more. I believe that it is very important to help others. This is a life goal of mine as I aspire to become a Pediatric Oncologist (Children's Cancer Doctor). I hope to travel the world and share the idea of community service to young children and adults, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

For one day if life had no rules, what would you do?

First of all, I would probably go on a shopping spree. Then, I would travel the world with my family and see how far I could get in 24 hours. I would learn new cultures, new ideas, and explore different diversities.

Tell me three important things about yourself

I am studying to become a pediatric oncologist and save the lives of children who are diagnosed with cancer. I booked my first commercial at 6 years old! It took me 15 times to win my first beauty pageant because I never gave up!

Who would you consider a role model and why?

My role model is my mom. I know choosing my mom might be cliche, but she is the one person who has taught me to believe in myself and never give up. She has taught me that if I fail on my dreams, then I am failing on myself.

What is your definition of success?

To me, success is defined as living my true purpose in life and having a positive impact on others. Success is not what you achieved, it's how you achieved it. I learned that if I fail, I need to get back up and try again even harder than the last.
